Contains Religious and New Age themes, and some violent scenes. When extreme religious fundamentalists known as the Phineas Priesthood led by Ezekiel Yates and his three cousins, target Xantara Pembroke because they believe she is a witch, they launch a major conflict between unworldly disciples of good and evil. This 60,000-word, action-packed thriller shows the twists and turns of both sides as they try to destroy or save the souls of earth.
Imogene is the daughter of Xantara, a Guardian of Avebury Circle, an ancient monument near Stonehenge. For over three thousand years, wives of eight village families have performed ceremonies to heal local people, with power handed down from first daughter to first daughter. The Pembroke family encounter extreme prejudice from the Priesthood.
Braedon the village doctor is drawn into a world he didn’t know existed to protect his daughter. His wife Xantara keeps her secrets and causes conflict in the marriage.
All that is forgotten when Imogene levitates in Avebury Circle. Will the world believe Imogene’s incredible message?
This book has the potential to go viral!” Mike Smith of Creating Lifestyle!
“I just finished editing a thriller by an Australian writer Chris Sherborne, titled “Imogene’s Message.” I was so impressed with it that I offered to recommend it. This is only the second time I’ve done this in my 50 year professional editing career, so you can see that I’m enthused with her work. She has a good story, tells it well, and knows how to use good hooks and writing to keep readers engaged.” Don McNair
“Neither of us could put this book down, reading it in one sitting.” June & Peter Phillips
“Imogene’s Message is packed with excitement. I can’t wait for the next one.” Julie Lilley, UK
˃˃˃ Interested in Spirituality, Paranormal, and a book that’s action packed?
This book will have you glued to your chair until you’ve finished it. Fast-paced, scary and outrageous!
Your mind is working twenty-four-seven and you’re giving it impossible tasks, such as ‘make everyone like me’. These tasks damage your psych over time. If you get this job or that promotion you’ll be happy and set for life. Untrue! A friend passes you in street, ignores you, and you agonize over it for days. Foolish!
Would you be more comfortable without these tormenting thoughts? That is why sages recommend meditation to clear the mind, to shut it down for a while, to give yourself a break. But there is a simpler method! Think about this: you are one of seven billion human beings on this planet, and a minute particle of the universe. Your life span is short, so why would you want to waste your time and happiness obsessing over minor problems? Yes, I know that to you your current problem is mammoth. We all go through hard times, but in a hundred years you will be gone, and so will your problems.
So, you ask, what do I do? First, be aware of your thoughts and tensions in your body. When that friend passes you in the street, or you lose your job, shrug your shoulders, relax and let it go. Or for my younger readers Whatever!
This is a constant awareness, relaxing and letting go, many times a day until it becomes second nature. Over time you’ll find your mind is clearer, you make better decisions, and happiness is a daily event!
Do you sometimes feel as if your world is falling down around you? Have you experienced one setback after another? Then this article is for you.
If we believe that the Universe is essentially good then why do these things happen? Could it be that you are ignoring the messages that are being sent to you?
We have all heard people say that when one door closes another door opens. This is the same way the Universe works to guide you and direct you. When you find that over time you are meeting bigger and bigger obstacles that each door is larger and slams louder, then maybe you are not listening to the messages that are trying to get through.
You may have lost your job or your business is failing. It could be that a special relationship is becoming more difficult day by day. If you are finding that no matter what you do you are meeting problems after problems, then it is time to take notice and listen….

Who are the Light Beings? Find out how the Light Beings heal in the mysterious Avebury Circle. Is it possible to come back to life? Is Reincarnation Real?
“Imogene’s Message” is a gripping thrill ride of religious extremism run horribly amok. Christine Sherborne revives the ancient hysteria of witch-hunting when young Imogene is suspected of being a witch by the fanatical Phineas Priesthood. While this story is, first and foremost, an action-packed thriller, it also inspires the important questions of what separates constructive religious impulses from destructive ones; and how does a group of people who begin by contemplating their relationship with God end by committing and act of murder?
Sherborne takes us on a breathtaking and shocking adventure through worlds that we may not have known to exist, of both the earthly and ethereal kind. The characters are richly developed and the prose ferries between fast-paced and demonstrative in precisely the right places.
This is a paranormal thriller that I’d put on par with some of Stephen King’s work, and it hits you right between the eyes with the force of a flying Malleus Maleficarum. If you are a fan of paranormal thrillers, this one belongs in your collection!
Many years ago, I lived nearby this mysterious monument and decided to use this magical place as a backdrop in my ‘Imogene’ series of paranormal thrillers.
The stones encircle an entire village in the middle of a flat landscape. My experiences at this mystic place have been unusual. There is a subtle vibrational energy one can feel at times, and the atmosphere is one of expectation. Many locals have experienced strange lights, noises and nearby witnessed overnight intricate crop circles that have appeared.
Deep holes perforate some of the larger stones, several feet in depth. No one knows the purpose of these holes, and some appear to have small pebbles pushed deep inside. Locals believe the holes allow the energy to rise from the Earth and dissipate through them.
Lichens cover many stones. Their intricate patterns resemble Celtic symbols, and the plant types may have existed thousands of years ago when the stones were raised. Facial images also appear on the rock face, with some people disputing they exist at all. Searching for these etched faces is a favorite pursuit.
The stones are laid out in a serpentine shape giving strength to the theory the site could be used for serpent worship. Diamond shaped stones are believed to be feminine and the pillar shapes masculine. Throughout this area energy ley lines crisscross the entire region, with one running from nearby Stonehenge.
People have claimed to have received healings within the circle. I’ve based the Guardians of Avebury as healers in my novel ‘Imogene’s Message’ as I believe many of these accounts to be true.
This ancient site predates Stonehenge by thousands of years and is the oldest circle in Europe. If you have an opportunity to visit Avebury, please do. You won’t be disappointed especially if you are a sensitive person.
